About Lonia Shoes
- Lonia is a fashion footwear brand. The site is the storefront and the lookbook u2014 heels, collections, and a visual identity that has to hold on a small screen.
- A D2C brand site fails when it looks like a theme demo. The work was to build the WordPress around the brand, not the other way around.
- From-scratch means information architecture, templates, and the unglamorous SEO that makes a new site findable.
- This page covers that first brand site, not a later commerce bolt-on.
Project overview
Lonia asked for a brand website from scratch: modern design, responsive templates, and development that stayed aligned with the footwear identity.
I built the WordPress site as a brand surface first u2014 collections, look, and a path to buy u2014 with SEO baked into the templates rather than added later.
Project goals
01
Ship a brand site that looks like Lonia, not like a shoe-theme demo.
02
Keep collections and lookbook pages clear on a phone.
03
Leave SEO-friendly templates the brand can keep publishing into.
