Why this background fits

Ten years inside production WordPress, not beside it.

Those programmes were WordPress and web-platform work: content models, integrations, performance, and a team that had to keep shipping after I left the thread. That is the same shape as a forward deployed engagement.

Where I am still building Python and LLM-agent work is an area of growth. I will not describe it as expert depth.

What I can deploy

Six kinds of work I will own on a live platform.

01

Customer-embedded delivery

Join the team that owns the outcome. Scope with them, write the code, and leave a path they can run.

02

CMS integrations

WordPress, WooCommerce, and the systems beside them: CRM, catalogue, and identity, connected without a second source of truth.

03

APIs and webhooks

REST and webhooks on the production site, with retries, logging, and an editor workflow that does not depend on a developer for every change.

04

AI features on the platform

Retrieval and automation over content the site already publishes. Useful on the live stack, not a sidecar demo.

05

Migrations

Moves of content, commerce, and hosting onto a stack the team can keep. I have run 30+ migrations.

06

Performance and security

Core Web Vitals, caching, and hardening while the site stays up for editors and customers.

How I work

Discover, prototype, deploy, own.

01

Discover

The constraint, the editors, and the system that is already in production.

02

Prototype

A thin slice on that stack, reviewed with the people who will use it.

03

Deploy

Through the Git and hosting path the site already has.

04

Own

The result after launch: the next release, the incident, and the handover.

FAQ

Questions about this kind of engagement.

What is a Forward Deployed Engineer?

A forward deployed engineer embeds with the customer, scopes the messy part of the problem, and ships it on the production system. The work is integrations, automation, and AI features, then staying accountable after deploy. On this site that means WordPress and the web platform around it.

Do you only work with WordPress?

No. WordPress is the production platform I know best, and most engagements still land there. I also work on the integrations, automation, and front ends around it, including React, Next.js, APIs, and hosting. Python and LLM-agent work is an area I am building, not a claim of expert depth.

How does an FDE engagement differ from a WordPress project?

A project can end at launch. An FDE engagement starts inside the customer’s constraints: the existing CMS, the CRM, the editors, and the deploy path. I discover the real problem, prototype on that stack, deploy it, and own the result afterwards.

What should I send before a first call?

The product or site, the stack, the problem you are trying to solve, and a timeline if you have one. Company name helps. That is enough to say whether an embedded engagement is the right shape.
