A storefront rebuilt around how shoppers actually browse ethnic wear
Page-load and checkout work aimed at conversions, not a prettier theme alone
About Jaipur Kurti
- Jaipur Kurti is an Indian ethnic-wear retailer. The store has to carry a large catalogue u2014 kurtis, sets, and seasonal drops u2014 without turning every visit into a wait.
- Shoppers come on a phone. Category pages, filters, and product galleries have to hold up there first.
- WooCommerce work here is full-stack: theme, checkout, and the performance habits that keep a sale from bouncing.
- The public site is the shop. This case study is about making that shop faster and clearer.
Project overview
Jaipur Kurti needed the storefront rebuilt: custom WooCommerce, a clearer browse path, and page-load work that showed up in conversions.
I treated it as a shop in production u2014 catalogue templates, checkout, and performance u2014 rather than a visual refresh with the same slow stack underneath.
Project goals
01
Make category and product pages match how shoppers browse ethnic wear.
02
Cut the wait on mobile so a sale is not lost to a spinner.
03
Leave WooCommerce the merchandising team can still run after handover.
