About HapyFoodie
- HapyFoodie is a UK cookbook and food-writing site. Readers come for recipes, authors, and features u2014 the CMS has to match a kitchen, not a newsroom template.
- Cookbook extracts, seasonal features, and author pages share the same WordPress surface.
- Food content dies when every recipe is a one-off page. The work was structured fields and templates the editorial team can run.
- This sits alongside the wider Penguin publishing-platform work.
Project overview
The site needed WordPress that behaved like a cookbook imprint: recipes you can find, authors you can follow, and features that do not collapse the layout.
I modelled the content and built the templates around those relationships, so the food team could publish without a developer rewriting the page.
